DOL Wireless Grain Sensor CSS-TM
The DOL Wireless Grain Sensor CSS-TM is a wireless sensor designed to monitor grain and prevent crop damage. It accurately monitors the temperature and moisture of stored crops. It is portable and easy to move where needed.
Sensor data are displayed in the AgroLog app on your smartphone. The app sends alerts when critical thresholds are reached. Data update automatically every hour, and manual measurements can be taken as needed. The app subscription costs EUR 108 per sensor for 3 years.
The spear comes with a replaceable 3.6 V lithium battery with a service life of +2 years.

A study from the Sustainability special issue "Sustainability of Food Consumption and Food Security", shows that up to 1/3 of the world's harvest is lost during storage, where humidity and temperature are key factors. To ensure reliable long-term storage and avoid spoilage and shrinkage, it is important to continuously monitor and control stored-crop temperature. Ideally, maintaining around 5°C is crucial, as it significantly reduces the risk of insect infestation and mould growth. Lower grain temperatures also effectively suppress insects. Moisture monitoring is equally important during crop storage, as excessive moisture can cause spoilage, fungal growth and quality deterioration. Two moisture sensors and three temperature sensors along the wireless spear provide a complete and accurate crop report.

The DOL Wireless Grain Sensor CSS-TM has a SIM card and is fully wireless. It works without a gateway or additional connections near the storage building. Since the grain sensor is wireless, you do not need to be nearby to view data and can check your crops while away without visiting the site. It connects to the AgroLog app, giving you instant access to all collected data on your smartphone from anywhere. This versatile app lets you monitor crops and view historical data, and also sends alerts when moisture or temperature fluctuates. You can set your own thresholds in the app and receive alerts when they are reached, keeping you in control of your crops at all times.
