iDOL 65 Pig Weighing Camera
Get the average pen weight every hour. With the iDOL 65 Pig Weighing Camera mounted on the ceiling above the pen, you receive accurate hourly updates on the average pen weight.
The 3D camera takes images of the pigs below it every 10 seconds. An algorithm analyses the images and estimates the average weight of pigs in the pen.

Average pen weight
The average weight is based on approximately 8600 images taken during the last 24 hours. The iDOL 65 Pig Weighing Camera takes an image every 10 seconds, and each image contains multiple weighings depending on how many pigs are beneath the camera. The algorithm calculates average pen weight from these images.
All data belong to you
To ensure data security, all weighing data are deleted from the dol-sensors cloud after some time once they have been sent to your server through our API. Each iDOL 65 Pig Weighing Camera has a unique key and MAC address identified in the API.
Highly precise, accurate data
The iDOL 65 Pig Weighing Camera estimates average pen weight for pigs weighing 7 to 110 kg. The iDOL 65 Pig Weighing Camera accuracy is +/- 5 % for DanBred pigs from 7 to 30 kg and +/- 3 % for DanBred pigs from 30 to 110 kg.
The automated weighing algorithm is based on data from more than 29.2 million individual images of weaned and finishing pigs weighing 1.7 to 139.2 kg.

Average pen weight
The average weight is based on approximately 8600 images taken during the last 24 hours. The iDOL 65 Pig Weighing Camera takes an image every 10 seconds, and each image contains multiple weighings depending on how many pigs are beneath the camera. The algorithm calculates average pen weight from these images.
Standard deviation
Standard deviation shows how similar the pigs in a pen are. Some customers use these data to move the smallest and largest pigs to other pens, ensuring pigs of similar sizes are grouped together.
Minimum and maximum pen weight
Minimum and maximum pen weights are based on weighing statistics from the last 24 hours. Data may show a weight below the smallest pig or above the largest pig if the iDOL 65 Pig Weighing Camera captured an image of, for example, two pigs on top of each other.
Number of weighings in the last 24 hours and last hour
Finally, the iDOL 65 Pig Weighing Camera provides the number of weighings in the last 24 hours and last hour. Since the camera is positioned near the feed dispenser for dry feeding or the drinking nipple for wet feeding, the number of weighings can indicate how often pigs eat and drink or how active they are.
How to use the data
Once data arrive on your server, you decide how to use them. Most customers combine iDOL 65 Pig Weighing Camera data with information on feed consumption, water consumption and indoor climate. Comparing current data with historical data allows comparisons between batches or analysis of weight development over the time pigs spend
in the pen.
Change feed at the right time
Changing feed at the right time is vital to production results. Comparing iDOL 65 Pig Weighing Camera data with feed data allows you to track the effects of feed changes, such as FCR relative to weight gain. The data can also show whether the feed used delivers the desired results. More expensive feed may be worthwhile if it produces better results.
Calculate weight gain
To monitor weight gain in a pen, simply take the current weight data and subtract data from, for example, yesterday.
Average pen weight now – average pen weight yesterday = weight gain since yesterday
Compare average weight with standard weight curves
Average pen weight can be compared with a standard weight curve to monitor your pigs' weight gain. This provides more accurate information on how pigs are growing compared with expectations.
Modernize your production
Data from the iDOL 65 Pig Weighing Camera and other data you collect from the pen provide a much more accurate overview of production and performance. This lets you optimize production based on data rather than intuition.
Comparing data with historical records stored on your server makes production even more modern. By tracking the ages when pigs reach 9, 15 and 25 kg and comparing them with previous batches, you can determine whether they follow the same growth curve.
